Plenty of companies don't innovate at all. If you don't have faith in their mission why did you invest in their stock in the first place. People who held Tesla's stock were richly rewarded weren't they? If you are holding Meta stock, you need to have faith in their mission(I am not holding Meta stock BTW). Tesla was losing money left and right a couple of years ago. But aren't you glad that internet was invented? And yet we clocked in 100s of hours in these games didn't we. Tomb Raider in the early 00s looked like a potato that I pealed compared to the Tomb Raider today that looks like a potato that my mom peeled. In Mario you couldn't see the whole other side of his body or his world. In doom you couldn't even see your character since it was a FPS game. Since people spent time and money building them, we have wonderful & aesthetic games today. Well have you played any 90s video games? Do you think the graphics in those games were marvelous? They were not. Why are people even complaining that Facebook is spending billions of dollars on VR technology lol? It’ll certainly be interesting if any more hiatuses come in the next few weeks. You could call it a coincidence, but it’s also possible that the news of Coco’s graduation has opened the floodgates, pushing other creators to put their mental health first. Two hiatuses and one graduation in a single week is pretty alarming, raising serious questions about how the company cares for its talents. In any case, this doesn’t exactly paint a good picture of the mood among hololive talents at the moment. Again, not many details have been provided from her side, so we don’t know exactly why. She promised to start streaming again when she feels a little better.Īkai Haato, meanwhile, offered a lot less reasoning behind her hiatus. The news of Coco’s graduation also got her down, so she discussed with her manager and other talents, who advised her to go at her own pace. More specifically, throat pain meant that she wasn’t able to stream for hours on end, nor eat enough to feel energetic. Things are not looking good over at hololive HQ at the moment. Don't you find its beauty captivating? As we speak, it draws its energy from the Legendary Pokémon. "The ultimate weapon's flower has finally bloomed above the soil. The gravestones are just that, gravestones, they aren't a conduit.Īlso, Yveltal and Xerneas cocoon forms were being used to power the Ultimate Weapon, they're linked to it with tubes and stuff when you go to get them, heck, when Lysandre fires the weapon, he even remarks about having managed to draw just enough power from the box legendaries to fire a shot, this is why he tries to steal them back from you, they're the batteries, and he wants them back. He either dies from the Ultimate Weapon or gets buried alive but immortal, which is pretty damn metal. Oh, and Lysandre gets his comeuppance, unlike most other villainous team leaders. In B2W2, the Evil Team Plasma didn't really have anything redeeming IIRC. Team Galactic was mostly kept in the dark by Cyrus about what the real plans were, and many members of Team Plasma were in it because they actually wanted to help pokémon, at least in BW. Teams Aqua and Magma were misguided but just wanted to help. Rocket's leaders at least acted with honor, and Giovanni refused to reform the team after it had been torn down once. Every other team had something redeeming about them. Team Flare was seriously the best villainous team ever. They're not just villains, they're actually the most horribly screwed-up evil shit to ever happen in a pokémon game. One of the Team Flare scientists, Xerosic, has no qualms with using an orphaned girl to test his experiments and commit crime. In addition, E4 member Malva (who was a Team Flare member) has deep mafia connection, and threatens to kill the player at least once. I'll remind you that the weapon actually fired, which means that the life-force had irrevocably been spent - pokémon, and probably also people, died én masse DURING THE ACTUAL STORY MODE. They have no problem whatsoever with draining the life-force of probably hundreds or even thousands of pokémon and people to power a weapon to destroy everone who isn't on Team Flare. They seem goofy at first, but it very soon becomes clear that they are the most downright nasty villainous team ever. In B2W2, they were just criminals (at least the evil Team Plasma). No, Team Flare was seriously the best villainous team ever. Intake processes and suggest optimized best practicesĭo not enforce those practices or continue supporting your organization Standardizing and maintaining best practicesĪlternatively, an external project management office is an agency or consulting group that helps you create best practices for your company. Internal PMOs are permanent teams that collect all of your organization’s processes to establish standards and best practices. Larger companies: Alternatively, in larger companies with many different systems and less cross-functional collaboration, PMOs may be embedded in the departments they serve.Īn internal PMO is an in-house team that supports project success. Smaller companies: At a small organization, you might have one PMO team that standardizes project management best practices across all of your departments. How do PMO teams differ by organization size? In addition to project and process managers, PMOs also consist of business strategy team members-who not only standardize processes but help to optimize and improve upon them. Usually, these project managers work as cross-functional partners to standardize processes across the department or organization they support. Try Asana for project management Who works within the PMO?Īn internal project management office is a shared services team. These teams are shared services organizations, meaning that in most cases they are a central support team that drives and enables the work of many other teams and departments. Typically, this includes determining how products and services are built and delivered at a department or company level. To support cross-functional collaboration and reduce chaos, a PMO defines, standardizes, establishes, and runs business-critical planning and operational processes across the entire organization or within a specific department. You may have heard the acronym “PMO” referred to as a program or portfolio management office, but these are distinct types of PMOs:Ī project management office (PMO) guides all project management initiatives.Ī program management office (PgMO) guides employees to use best practices when undertaking projects and programs.Ī portfolio management office (PfMO) guides all change management processes within an organization. If you want a good piece of software for digital painting and illustration, Krita is definitely worth downloading and trying out, especially if you haven’t paid for any software yet. If you select a lot of colours for a complex gradient, you can also have the software automatically sort them by brightness or by hue with one click. You can open up the Gradients tool to design your own bespoke Gradient, quickly select a few colour stops, and move them along the bar in accordance with how dominant you want one colour or another to be. This is especially useful for quick design work like knocking up graphics for social media. Improved gradients: creating and using gradients has also been improved for Krita 5.0, and it's really easy to do. Bear in mind that this doesn’t work with the Advanced Colour Wheel you need to have the Palette Docker open. This is especially good if you want to try out a few colour variations in quick succession. Krita now lets you drag a colour straight from the Docker to an element or layer. This is really intuitive, and much less fiddly than trying to rotate the shape afterwards using the Transform tools.ĭrag and drop colours: this one's a useful time-saver. When you’re using a create tool to make a shape like an ellipse or a rectangle, you can hold Ctrl-Alt to rotate the shape with the stylus as you’re drawing it. The grid can be really handy as it helps you visualise how perspective will affect different objects you’re drawing, as well as creating discrete units of distance you can use to check that everything’s in the right place.Ĭreate/rotate shapes: this is a small addition but it’s neat. You can edit the vanishing points, move the guidelines around, or limit the area that they affect – which is handy if you want to keep your perspective drawing to a certain area of the canvas (e.g. It allows you to create perspective guides by placing down perspective points and overlaying a grid onto your canvas, which you can then snap brushes to in order to make sure your lines are just right. The latest edition of Krita has a few useful new tools, so let’s take a look at some of the highlights:Ģ-point perspective assistant: this is a cool new feature that makes it easier to draw using perspective. You can also group layers, and easily copy them from one project to another. “shading”, “lines”, “blue” or whatever else. You can filter your layers by name to quickly navigate to the one you want – e.g. It’s helpful without being intrusive.Īnd if you’re one for working with plenty of Layers, Krita offers a few good quality-of-life tools that make that easier. If you’re the type of person who often accidentally selects the wrong tool (hands up here), Krita has a knack for knowing it, and will pop up a little message explaining that you probably want, e.g. It’s the little things that make a difference. Unlike those programs, feeling your way around learning to use Krita is actually fun, and doesn’t feel like smashing your head against a brick wall. The main Toolbar sits on the left of the canvas, and you can add windows (Krita calls them “Dockers”) to the right-hand side when you want to pick colours, brushes, or whatever else. In terms of user-friendliness, I'd say Krita is a little less intimidating than Photoshop – though it doesn’t have Photoshop’s comprehensive guided tutorials – and it also makes more of an effort to be comprehensible than GIMP. The Krita interface is simple, effective and well laid out. Serve on its own, with crisps or potato fries.Place the other half of the burger bun on top to complete. Add the vegan bacon and another dollop of BBQ sauce. Place your gherkins on top followed by the burger and cheese stack. Lay out the burger bun base and add a generous dollop of BBQ sauce. It’s time to assemble your burger stack.Once you’ve reached your desired crispiness, set aside. Cook the vegan bacon following the packaging instructions.Cover the pan with a lid to allow cheese to melt. Top both burger halves with the vegan cheese then stack on top of each other.Cook the two parts of burgers according to the packaging instructions in a little oil until golden on both sides.Start by cutting the burger in half so you have two thinner patties.I think although this is a high scoring burger, there are others that have kept that “wow” factor the whole way through. It was only as it went on that the pallet became a little more accustomed to the flavour which began to lose its momentum. Honestly, I immediately thought this burger was incredible. I have to remember those first two bites and it was a “wow” moment. HAMBURGER PATTIES ARE COOKED ON THE SAME GRILL AS AND MAY COME IN CONTACT WITH INGREDIENTS THAT CONTAIN MILK AND SOY. The burger had a good balance despite the centre-fold cheese and meat. The Taste: 18/20Īs eluded too in the last paragraph I absolutely loved the taste. Richness never dies but, paradoxically, if these two patties were too rich, with their size, I would have fallen asleep at the table. My only observation is that the flavor did come a little repetitive after a few bites and I question if this could be down to the quality of the meat. The meat took centre stage for me alongside the cheese and it didn’t disappoint. I admit I did not get the wow factor with the meat like it was any special blend of beef kissed by the sun but it did a notable job within the stack. The first bite stole my heart as I bit through a crispy outside texture into a meaty middle, this burger had me at hello. The flavour was good, well seasoned and seared onto the outside of the meat. Just a meal deal with everything you ever wanted: your choice of Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, Double Stack, or Crispy Chicken Sandwich, 4 pc Nuggs, jr. These two smashed patties, for me, were cooked to perfection. Well, I don’t know, lets just say that both of us that ate this burger were wiped out for the rest of the afternoon and didn’t eat for 24 hours! Could be the cheese, could be the sheer size of the burger, but I did feel that my body had consumed a ridiculous amount of fat! Embarrassingly, being a couch potato for a whole Sunday afternoon was actually quite nice and if I could do it again, I would! The cheese was not a fancy attempt at creating some unique flavour but just a standard ‘good ol’ get messy and get dirty piece of brilliance that I really loved! Where do you think Dip and Flip scored in our Top Burgers Hit List? The Patty: 18/20 Ok, so a little bit of processed cheese hasn’t hurt anyone. It seemed to be some sort of American Squeezy Cheese that looked amazing and tasted just as good. They threw this cheese into this particular burger that I have not tried before. I have been to Dip & Flip a few times and actually felt I could have written this review without having to attend again. I could taste a light smoke but not enough, again, to counterbalance the cheese and patties. It tasted like pretty decent bacon, to be fair, I just felt that it missed a little crispness that would have broken the texture of the stack a little bit. The bacon was a little disappointing also. I found that in this particular burger the pickled slaw was lost in translation and although I did get a taste of it here and there, it was not enough to combat the overwhelming patties and cheese. The pickled slaw is one of my toppings not only at Dip & Flip but in any burger I have tried in this last 16 months. I know the pickled slaw at Dip & Flip having had one of their infamous Dip & Flip burgers previously. Impressive craftsmanship or luck? Whatever it was, I thought Dip & Flip’s brioche was a good example of the types of buns we have come to enjoy at Cheeseburgerme. Therein lies some food for thought a soft, nice-tasting bun that did not fall apart against the dipping of the gravy, tons of sauce, and weight of a stack. Honestly, this burger was huge, and although the size of the smashed patties against the brioche was a David vs Goliath situation I cannot fault the robustness of the bun. The soft brioche bun did particularly well to hold up against the sheer weight of this stack. These overrides allow a stable place you can expect the dialog to open at.
